Marvel vs Capcom 2
Marvel vs Capcom 2 is an action fighting game from 2000 that features characters and settings of 2 worlds. Capcom created the game which is the fourth entry in the Marvel Vs Capcom Series. Marvel vs Capcom 2 was developed by Capcom and is the direct sequel to Marvel vs Capcom Clash of Super Heroes.
Marvel vs Capcom 2 has taken on many of the features that were present in its predecessor and added new, significant ones. This game has similar tag-team mechanics as its predecessor but with all-new 3-on-3 combat gameplay and a simplified control system. Marvel vs Capcom 2 has a new character-assistance system. In the visuals, there is a noticeable difference in that the 2D character faces a 3-D background. Previous installments only featured 2D backgrounds. Furthermore, a new’snapback feature’ is included.
Marvel vs Capcom 2 enjoyed a great deal of commercial success when it was first released. Originally, it was released only for Japanese Sega NAOMI consoles. It was such a hit that, sooner or later, the game appeared on many different consoles: Dreamcast (PS2, Xbox 360), PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 as well as iOS.
GameRankings awarded Marvel vs Capcom 2 on Dreamcast a rating of 90%. Metacritic gave the game a 90% rating on Dreamcast. It also scored it 82% on Xbox 360.

Players select three members of their team, and then compete with another three-member team. This is a tag-team battle. The Variable System has been improved to enable players at any stage of the battle to call in additional team members. In reimplementing “Variable Assist,” players can ask one member of their offscreen team to execute a single, special move. This can be any of three types.
While waiting, characters in the team who aren’t engaged in any combat or active wait will regenerate slowly their health bar. For example, Team A is the winner if Team B’s characters lose all their health bars within the specified time. A second winning factor depends on the timer. After the game clock runs out, the character who has the most health remaining is declared to be the winner.
The bottom meter, in addition to the health and life gauges on top, fills up as each character deals or receives damage. It allows players to use special attacks such as Hyper combos, Delayed hyper combos or variable combinations.
Marvel vs Capcom Clash of Super Heroes implemented six attack buttons that were divided into low, medium and high strength punches or kicks. Marvel vs Capcom 2 New Age of Heroes, however, implements an alternative control scheme. The six-button scheme now has four attack and two assistance buttons.
Marvel vs Capcom has the following gameplay modes:
Play Single Player Mode
The player is pitted against computer generated opponents, in 3-person tag teams.
Two-player online multiplayer mode
Players compete in this 3-person tag-team battle mode. The game had online support, but this was limited to Japan. Later, the online multiplayer feature was added to other consoles and not just the arcades.
3) Arcade Mode
The players must defeat the seven teams of computer controlled opponents to unlock Abyss as their final boss. Abyss is a character that can change into three different types.
4) Versus Mode
Two players can play against each other in this mode.
The Training Mode
Players can use this mode to learn and practice new combos, combat techniques, and game settings.
6) Score Attack Mode
The players are faced with an ever-increasing wave of characters from the computer. Each time the player beats a computer character opponent, he or she gets rewarded with a single score point. To survive and stay alive as long as you possibly can, the goal is to avoid being killed by an incoming wave of enemies.
Marvel vs Capcom 2 offers a large and impressive collection of characters, 56 in total. These are from Marvel Universes and Capcom Universes. This game features 3 original characters: Amingo Ruby Heart SonSon.
In the arcade, the first half of characters is locked. They are then unlocked when the revenues increase. Moreover, on consoles, only 24 characters come pre-installed, while the other 32 can be acquired through in-game points. On the other hand, on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, all characters are available from the very beginning.
